This homeowner's roof had leakage and shingle stains. The problem was solved by calling in our Brown Roofing team for a full roof replacement and new gutters. Worn and stained shingles were replaced by new IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Summit Gray. The stunning result of our crew's efforts reflect the quality of the entire roof, which will continue to protect this home for a very long time.
This beautiful home was suffering from moss, lichen, and algae growth. On top of this, there was also granular loss and color fade due to wear and tear over time. After we got the green light from the customer we got straight to work ripping up the old shingles and inspecting the decking layer below. We knew that some of the sheets needed to be replaced based on the information we gathered on the inspection appointment. Once the old plywood sheets were ripped up and replaced we could move on to sealing the roof.
For this, we always use three different materials, decking tape to seal all of the plywood seams, Sealeron Ice and Water to seal all the eves, rakes, valleys, and any 90-degree angles. Finally, we install a synthetic underlayment over any uncovered plywood.
Last but not least we installed the shingles and this customer decided on our IKO Dynasty Frostone Gray Shingles. When installing the shingles we always start at the bottommost edge and work our way across and up the roof ensuring that the shingles are properly overlapping. We also install flashings around any openings in the roof like chimneys and anywhere shingles meet the siding.
Now this customer has a brand new roof that is guaranteed to last them a lifetime and completely transform the look of their home.
This home's roof was 17 years old and was in need of replacement. The homeowner also wanted new gutters because the old ones were directly dripping onto the roof causing a leak.
The first step to this roof replacement is ripping up the old shingles and inspecting the decking layer below. Luckily for this homeowner, their plywood decking was in good shape and did not need to be replaced. The next thing that we did was install the underlayments. First was our Sealeron Ice and Water which is installed around all the eaves, chimneys, walls, and around any penetrations in the roof. Next, we installed deck tape on all of the seams created by the plywood and metals. Finally, we laid down our synthetic felt over any of the uncovered surfaces where there is exposed plywood.
Now that this is done we can install the shingles and flashings. This homeowner decided on our IKO Dynasty Granite Black Shingles. This shingle made the home pop extremely well and added immense value to the home. When installing the shingles we always start at the bottom edge of the roof and work our way up layering the shingles. We do this so water drains off the roof as efficiently as possible. As we work our way up we flash around any openings in the roof with the corresponding material. Once we reach the top of the roof we cap it off with our own Shingle Vent 2 and caps shingle.
This beautiful new roof gave this home a refreshing new look that totally transformed the home. The next day we installed brand new Gutter Shutter gutters on the home to ensure that the entire system works as efficient as possible.
This homeowner called us out to their home because they had an active leak in their roof. Their roof was around 15-20 years old and there was noticeable algae streaking and color fading all over.
The first step to any roof replacement is the stripping of the shingles and underlayments down to the decking layer. With the decking layer exposed, we inspected every inch and made sure that each piece of plywood was usable. Unfortunately, we did have to replace 4 sheets of plywood due to rot. Next, we installed our underlayments. This layer consists of our Sealeron Ice and Water, Our Sealeron Deck Tape, and our Velora One Synthetic Felt. These three materials create a waterproof yet breathable seal around the whole roof.
The shingles were next to go up and when installing shingles we always start at the bottom corner of the roof to ensure the shingles are staggered and laid properly. This is important because if done incorrectly water will not run off the roof efficiently. By the end of the day, this home had a total makeover and this brand-new roof is guaranteed to protect this family for the next 50 years!
The Brown Roofing team fixed this customer's leakage problem with a roof replacement. This new roof has elevated this home's appearance, and reduced the risk of leaks in the future. IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black modernize this home's look.
