Roof Replacement Before & After Photos

For this job our team took care of the Githens old and worn roof. The shingles had black streaks which actually means there was algae growing on their roof, this algae is not harmful to the roof in its early stages but the longer it stays on the roof the more likely it will eat through the UV protective layer. This accelerates the wear and aging of the roof and may lead to larger problems. This roof also had severe water damage to the plywood under the shingles. We ripped up the old roof and decking layer and took care of all the rotting wood. We then laid down the new decking layer along with the underlayment and Ice and water. After those went down we shingled the whole roof leaving a happy customer with a safe and watertight roof. 

The old shingles on this home were in terrible condition. They were old and curling so water was getting in between them and the home was not properly protected. Our crew removed the old shingles and installed all new cedar shake shingles to give this home a classic look and give it the protection that it deserves. The homeowners loved the professionalism of our crew and love the way their new roof looks!

This home was suffering from molding and a leaky roof. Water was seeping in through the cracks of the old shingles and through the lichen growing on the roof. This water then absorbed into the wooden decking layer and rafters and started to mold over time.

First, we replaced the rotting wood with new plywood so we had a fresh base to work on. Then we laid down our sealing layer which consists of 3 materials that work together to create a watertight yet breathable layer on the decking layer. First, we lay down the strip tap, then the Sealeron Ice and Water, and finally a synthetic underlayment.

With the sealing layer done, we can move on to the shingles and this customer decided on our IKO Dynasty Castle Gray Shingles. These shingles matched the rest of the home perfectly and added so much value to the home, not just practically but also visually.

The new IKO Dynasty shingles installed on this roof have completely changes this home's appearance. The old shingles that were worn and stained, were removed and replaced by the Brown Roofing team. The new shingle color, Summit Gray, complement this home so well. 

The Brown Roofing team helped out this customer with a leaking roof in Roxbury. Our crew removed the old and stained shingles, and replaced them with all new IKO Dynasty shingles. This customer chose the shingle color Granite Black. This new look has modernized the appearance of this home. This house has been upgraded by a new and reliable roof system.
