These homeowners in Redding, CT knew that it was time to replace the old shingles on their home. Our crew worked around the clock to remove their old worn shingles and install all new GAF shingles with a lifetime warranty. For this job our team took care of the Githens old and worn roof. The shingles had black streaks which actually means there was algae growing on their roof, this algae is not harmful to the roof in its early stages but the longer it stays on the roof the more likely it will eat through the UV protective layer. This accelerates the wear and aging of the roof and may lead to larger problems. This roof also had severe water damage to the plywood under the shingles. We ripped up the old roof and decking layer and took care of all the rotting wood. We then laid down the new decking layer along with the underlayment and Ice and water. After those went down we shingled the whole roof leaving a happy customer with a safe and watertight roof.
