Roof Replacement Before & After Photos

This home had a few leaks around the roof with no major damages but the roof was 20 years old and was in need of replacement. The first step to this replacement is to rip up all the existing shingles and check the decking layer for rot. Due to the leaks, a section of the roof needed to be replaced. Once this was done we back nailed the existing decking layer. 

The next thing we did was lay down our Sealeron Ice and Water. Then, we taped all the seams with our Sealeron strip tape, and finally, we laid down our synthetic underlayment on any of the uncovered plywood. 

Now the roof is ready for shingles, when installing shingles we always start at the bottommost corner of the roof and work our way up and across. We do this to ensure that the shingles are layered properly so that water runs off as efficiently as possible. As we make our way up the roof we flash around any penetrations in the roof like chimneys and vents with the corresponding material.

With this roof now fully replaced and the customer ecstatic, our team is happy that we’re now protecting another family.

Before the Brown Roofing team replaced this customer's roof, the existing shingles around this skylight did not match the other shingles on the roof. After the roof replacement, this area looks so much better. In addition to fixing the appearance of this area, the crew also installed ice and water shield around the edges of the skylight.
