In order to better protect this chimney from leaks and water damage, a re-flashing was needed. The Brown Roofing team was up to the task. The old flashing was removed, which is shown in the first picture. New flashing was applied, which not only looks great, but will also help keep this homeowner's chimney safe from leaks and water damage.
This homeowner's chimney had a damaged crown, and needed new flashing. They chose Brown Roofing for the job. The crew removed the old flashing and added new lead step flashing around the base of the chimney. This will help prevent water damage and erosion against the chimney. Additionally, our team poured a new cement crown and repointed this chimney.
This cottage in Litchfield, CT was leaking into the Kitchen. Our crew replaced the entire roof with IKO Dynasty Granite Black Shingles.
For this home, we needed to replace the entire roof. Once we ripped up the old shingles, we noticed mold growing on the underlayment, which points to leaks in the roof. As we finished removing this layer, the decking layer was revealed, which was in pretty bad shape. All the sheets needed to be replaced and some of the rafters needed to be repaired. Once these were fixed we laid the new decking layer on. Next was the underlayment and Ice and Water, these act as a second layer of protection against the elements. Finally, we installed the shingles and this homeowner decided to go with our Aged Copper Shingles. With their new roof, these homeowners can be certain that they will be safe and dry for many years to come.
For this home, we were just installing gutters. Working on new construction is always a treat because it removes the demo phase completely. It also means we don’t have to repair or deal with rotting materials. We installed our 6K gutter system on this house, including larger downspouts that are only an inch wider and longer but move double the amount of water that standard gutters move. With the installation of these new gutters, any family moving into this home can rest assured that, regardless of the weather conditions, the roof will effectively divert all water away from the property.
