This home in Shelton, CT was experiencing major leaks and water damage due to damaged shingles. When they called in asking for an emergency repair we sent out one of our service technicians to temporarily tarp the exposed area until we had an available crew.

Once the crew showed up they got to work on the replacement and started by ripping up the old shingles. Due to the leaks, most of the plywood decking layer was rotted and moldy requiring most of the wood to be replaced. 

Now that this was done, we laid down strip tape, Sealeron Ice and Water, and synthetic underlayment. These three materials form a strong, waterproof yet breathable layer on the home. This layer also acts as insulation creating a more energy-efficient home.

Lastly, we install the shingles and flashings. This customer decided on our IKO Dynasty Frostone Gray Shingles. These shingles popped way more than the original shingles beautifying the home and taking it to the next level.

For this job, we did a full roof replacement, which consisted of fully removing and replacing all existing shingles and the existing decking layer. 

The first step to this replacement was to rip up all the old shingles and decking layers. The tongue and groove decking layer was in decent shape but because the style was outdated the homeowner opted to replace it with plywood. 

Next, we installed the sealing layer which consists of three different materials that work together to form a strong, waterproof, and breathable layer that protects the decking layer.

Finally, we installed the shingles and this homeowner decided on our IKO Dynasty Atlantic Blue Shingles. By the end of the day, this homeowner had a brand new roof that perfectly matched the rest of the home.

New ridge vents were installed on this roof by the Brown Roofing team. Underneath a layer of brand new IKO Dynasty shingles, in the color Sentinel Slate, is a vent. This vent will release hot air from the customer's attic, preventing condensation and mold.

This roof in Shelton, Connecticut needed help, and the owner chose Brown Roofing for the job. Lichen growth and shingle staining was holding this home back from its full aesthetic potential. In addition, the roof was leaking and had water damage. The crew replaced damaged plywood, and installed new underlayment and shingles. These protective measures will keep this home safe from further water damage and leaks. The IKO Dynasty shingles that our crew used to complete this transformation were in the color Monaco Red. 

In the first photo, shingle stains, discoloration, and worn shingles are the most noticeable characteristics of this home. However, after the Brown Roofing team installed a brand new roof, this home's other traits are highlighted. Beautiful landscaping, striking blue siding, and bright white trim are more noticeable after the damaged roof has been removed. Our crew worked hard to transform this home, and restore this it to its full potential. This customer chose the color Granite Black for their new IKO Dynasty shingles.
