With that in place, the installation moved forward: six feet of ice and water shield was installed along the eaves to guard against winter storms, all plywood seams were taped to meet code, and Velora One synthetic underlayment was applied over the rest of the roof. Clean metal edging, called rake metal and drip edge, was installed next to ensure watertight borders.
