The Roof Before
Here is what Joe's roof looked like before the renovation. Even from way back here, you can tell that this roof has seen better days. Click through to see the amazing transformation!

The Teardown Begins
The crew starts off by carefully removing all of the old shingles from the roof. This reveals the plywood foundation underneath, which is called the roof sheathing.

New Plywood Is Installed
As the structural core of the roof, the health of the sheathing is essential. Any damaged, rotted, or moldy sections have to be removed and replaced with brand-new, sturdy 1/2" CDX plywood to ensure a solid base for the new roof.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Installed
To strengthen the roof's foundation, every seam between the plywood sheets is sealed with durable deck tape. After that, the crew lays down a layer of protective underlayment to guard against rain, wind, ice, and snow.

New Shingles Are Installed
Now, we're ready to install the brand-new shingles! Joe has chosen the elegant Glacier color from our IKO Dynasty collection to give his roof the perfect finish.

The Roof After
The crew wrapped things up with a few last steps and a full cleanup-Joe's new roof is all set!
