Roof Replacement Photo Album: Leak-Free and Looking Great in Fairfield, CT

Inspector Geoff headed out to Fairfield to meet with homeowner Stephanie after she gave Brown Roofing a call about some pesky roof leaks. After a thorough inspection, Geoff walked her through our premium roof replacement process—highlighting our top-tier materials and expert craftsmanship. Stephanie was excited to move forward, and we were just as thrilled to help her out! Project Manager Connor and his skilled crew got to work, removing the old shingles, replacing damaged sections of sheathing with fresh new plywood, and laying down strong protective underlayment. They topped it all off with beautiful new shingles, giving Stephanie’s home a fresh, durable finish. Now her roof is leak-free, built to last, and looking fantastic for years to come! The Roof Before

The Teardown

The crew kicks things off by carefully removing all of the old shingles off of the roof. This exposes the layer of plywood underneath, which is called the roof sheathing.

New Plywood

Any parts of the sheathing that show signs of damage, such as rot or mold, are removed and replaced with brand-new CDX plywood.

The Underlayment

With all of the new sheathing securely nailed into place, underlayment is installed over the entire surface. This thin, waterproof material protects the sheathing from damaging elements like rain, wind, snow, and ice.

New Shingles

It's time to install the new shingles! Brown Roofing proudly uses IKO Dynasty premium-laminated architectural shingles for all roofs backed by our 50-year warranty. For her new roof, Stephanie selected the ever-popular shade of Granite Black.

The Finished Look

After a few finishing touches, like securing the flashing around the chimney and roof pipes, as well as installing a ridge vent and cap, Stephanie's new roof is officially complete!
