The Roof Before
Here's a look at Bo's roof before the renovation. Click through to see the stunning transformation!

Prepping the Property
The crew starts by laying down large tarps across the house and yard, keeping the homeowner's property safe from falling debris and making cleanup more efficient.

The Teardown Begins
It's teardown time! A look at the back of Bo's house shows plenty of wear: stains near the chimney and streaky algae growth are clear signs it was time for an upgrade. Perfect timing for a fresh new roof!

Sheathing Is Exposed
Beneath the old shingles lies the roof sheathing: a sturdy plywood layer that forms the structural foundation of the roof.

Bad Plywood Is Removed & Replaced
The crew carefully inspects the sheathing for signs of damage, such as moisture, rot, or mold, and removes any compromised sections.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Installed
Fresh CDX plywood is securely installed, replacing the damaged sections. Each seam is reinforced with heavy-duty all-weather deck tape for added durability. Then, a protective underlayment is applied over the entire surface, creating a strong barrier against rain, wind, snow, and ice.

New Shingles Are Installed
Now for the exciting part: installing the new shingles! Brown Roofing proudly uses IKO Dynasty premium-laminated shingles. These top-tier shingles come in a range of stunning colors, and Bo chose the sleek Summit Gray for a fresh, modern look.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
A shingle vent is installed along all the ridges of the roof to ensure proper airflow. This vent allows hot, humid air from inside the house to escape, preventing damaging condensation buildup and helping maintain the roof's longevity.

The Roof After
After a few final touches - like installing a ridge cap for a clean, finished look and securing flashing around all pipes and junctions - Bo's brand-new roof is officially complete!
