Old Shingles Are Removed
The crew gets to work carefully stripping the old shingles off. This reveals the plywood layer underneath, which is called the roof decking.

Bad Plywood Removed & New Plywood Installed
The health of the decking is essential for the new roof, so any parts found with rot, decay, or damage of any kind are promptly removed and replaced with sturdy new CDX plywood.

Old Skylights Removed
Plus, the old skylights are taken out to make room for the brand-new, beautiful replacements!

Underlayment Is Installed
Once all of the new plywood is securely nailed into place, underlayment is installed over the entire decking. this thin, waterproof barrier shields the decking from brutal elements like rain, wind, snow, or ice.

New Shingles Are Installed
Now it's time for the brand-new shingles to go on! Brown Roofing proudly installs premium-laminated IKO Dynasty shingles on all roofs backed by our 50-year warranty. For his new roof, Phillip has selected the sleek shade of Glacier.

New Skylights Installed
New VELUX skylights are installed, adding even more style and modernity to Phillip's home.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
A shingle vent is installed along all of the ridges of the roof. This vent promotes proper airflow by allowing warm, moist air rising inside of the house a way to escape, eliminating damaging moisture buildup.

Chimney Gets New Flashing
A sleek, thin copper flashing is expertly installed where the chimney meets the roof, creating a watertight seal to keep moisture out and protect the roof for years to come.

The Finished Product
After a few finishing touches such as securing flashing around all pipes as well as installing a ridge cap over the ridge vents for a seamless finish, Phillip's new roof is complete!
