Roof Replacement Photo Album: Hamden, CT Garage Roof Overhaul: From Tarp to Tip-Top

Inspector Brand headed out to Hamden to meet Jenn, who was ready to replace her garage roof. The old roof had definitely seen better days - covered in moss, missing shingles, and requiring a tarp every time it rained. After working together on the perfect plan, Project Manager Connor and his crew got to work and made it look effortless! They replaced the decking, reinforced it with strong underlayment, and topped it off with beautiful, premium-laminated IKO Dynasty shingles. Now, Jenn can say goodbye to the tarp and rest easy knowing her new roof will keep her garage dry and looking great for years to come! Brown Won't Let You Down!

The Old Roof

The Teardown Starts

The crew gets to work removing the old shingles. This reveals the plywood foundation underneath, which is called the roof sheathing.

New Decking Is Installed

The sheathing on Jenn's garage needed to be fully replaced. Durable 1/2" CDX plywood sheets are installed and are precisely fit and securely nailed into the rafters.

Underlayment Is Installed

Next, a layer of underlayment is installed over the entire surface. This thin, waterproof membrane protects the new decking from damaging elements like wind, rain, snow, or ice.

The New Roof

Brand-new IKO Dynasty shingles in Jenn's chosen color are installed, giving the garage a fresh, vibrant look. After a few final touches and a detailed clean-up, Jenn's garage roof is now complete and looking fantastic!
