Old Shingles Are Removed
The crew gets started by stripping away all of the old shingles, clearing the way for a brand-new roof.

Decking Is Examined & Replaced
Underneath the shingles is a layer of plywood known as the roof decking. This is the structural base of the roof, and must be in tip-top condition. Any parts that are rotted, moldy, or show any signs of damage are removed and replaced with fresh new plywood.

Seams Taped & Underlayment Applied
With the decking in good condition, the crew reinforces the seams of the plywood sheets with strong deck tape for added durability. Next, they apply a layer of underlayment. This is a thin, water-resistant barrier that shields the decking from rain, snow, and ice.

New Shingles Are Installed
The next step is to install the new shingles. These are superior quality premium-laminated IKO Dynasty shingles in Chuck's selected color, a favorite amongst our customers: Granite Black.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
After the shingles go on, it's time to install the new ridge vent. This vent goes along the peak of the roof. It helps ensure air circulation by allowing hot, humid air rising from the house to escape, eliminating condensation buildup.
