Before: Dreaded Tarp
The storm damage on Nick's roof meant he needed a tarp just to keep the elements out. With the weather showing no signs of mercy, it was time to get this fixed - fast.

Old Shingles Come Off
The first step in replacing any roof is removing the old one. The crew gets to work, carefully stripping away the worn-out shingles to reveal the plywood layer beneath. This is called the decking, and it is the structural base of the roof.

Wood Replaced
The crew thoroughly inspects the decking, replacing any damaged sections with fresh, precisely cut plywood to ensure a perfect fit and a solid foundation.

Underlayment Is Applied
With the decking securely in place, the crew installs a layer of underlayment - a thin, water-resistant synthetic felt barrier designed to shield the decking from rain, snow, and ice.

New Shingles Installed
Once the underlayment is fully in place, it's time for the crew to install our signature IKO Dynasty premium-laminated shingles. For his home, Nick has chosen the sleek and sophisticated Summit Gray.

Ridge Vent Installed
To ensure proper ventilation, the crew installs a ridge vent at the peak of the roof. This allows humid air to escape, preventing condensation buildup and helping to maintain a healthy, long-lasting roof.

Chimney Gets New Flashing
To protect against leaks, new flashing is installed at the base of the chimney. This thin metal barrier directs water away from joints and vulnerable areas, ensuring a watertight seal.

After: Tarp-Free
Goodbye tarp! Nick's new roof is complete! And with expert craftsmanship and premium materials, his home is now protected for years to come.
