Before: Discoloration & Moss

The roof's water damage was evident in several areas, including dark discoloration around the vents and numerous patches of moss and lichen growth.

Shingle Teardown Begins

The crew starts by tearing off the old shingles. Under the shingles are sheets of plywood that form the roof decking. This is the structural foundation of the roof.

Damaged Plywood Is Removed

All of the decking is carefully inspected by our experts, and any plywood that show signs of rot, decay, or mold - like the one pictured here - is removed.

Plywood Is Replaced

The crew carefully installs each sheet of plywood with precision, ensuring they are cut to fit perfectly.

Decking Reinforced & Protected

Next, the crew reinforces the entire plywood decking with all-weather Sealoron XT deck tape. Afterward, they begin laying out the underlayment, a thin, water-resistant barrier that helps protect the roof from future water damage caused by rain, snow, or ice.

New Shingles Are Installed

Once the decking is fully covered with underlayment, the crew begins installing heavy-duty GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in Annette's chosen color of Pewter Gray.
