Before: Stained Shingles & Lichen
The roof showed significant signs of wear, with years of exposure to the elements leading to water damage. Large areas of shingles had darkened from prolonged moisture exposure. The white spots are lichen, an algae-like plant that thrives in damp conditions and is commonly seen growing on worn roofs.

Old Roof Is Stripped Off
The crew begins by carefully removing all the shingles from the roof, exposing the plywood beneath known as the roof sheathing. They then inspect the plywood for any signs of damage, rot, or decay, ensuring any affected sections are removed and replaced.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Applied
Once the plywood has been thoroughly inspected and any damaged sections have been replaced, the crew reinforces the sheathing by sealing the seams of the plywood sheets with SealoronXT deck tape. They then apply the underlayment - a thin, water-resistant barrier designed to protect the sheathing from harsh weather conditions such as rain, snow, and ice.

Ready For Shingles
After the underlayment is completely applied to the roof, the crew installs rake trim and a drip edge along the edges, making the roof ready for shingle installation.

Shingles Are Installed
The crew installed the IKO Dynasty premium laminate shingles in a precise staircase pattern for a sharp look, using the color Frostone Gray.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
A vent is installed along the ridge, the highest point of the roof, to allow ventilation. As hot, humid air rises through the house, the ridge vent helps release it from the attic, preventing moisture buildup.

Pipe Flashing Is Installed
Perma-Boot pipe flashings are installed on all roof pipes to prevent water from leaking through small crevices or joints.

The Finished Roof
The new roof is complete, built with premium, water-resistant materials backed by a 50-year warranty, ensuring protection against water damage, stained shingles, and lichen growth for decades to come.
