Before: Stains & Raised Shingles
In this before photo, you can see the shingles lifting, particularly along the edges. There's also noticeable pale discoloration at the top of the roof and behind the chimney and pipe. This is due to water leaking underneath the shingles.
Shingles Are Removed
The roof removal process begins with stripping away the old shingles, exposing the plywood underneath. This plywood is called the roof sheathing, and it serves as the structural framework of the roof.
Plywood Is Replaced
Our expert crew carefully inspects the sheathing for signs of damage, rot, or decay. Any compromised sections are replaced with new plywood, precisely measured and fitted to ensure a solid foundation for the new roof.
Deck Tape & Ice & Water Shield Is Applied
Once all damaged sheathing is replaced, the crew reinforces the seams of the plywood sheets with heavy-duty deck tape. They then install a protective Ice & Water Shield across the entire surface, creating a reliable barrier against moisture and harsh weather conditions.
New Shingles Are Installed
Next, the crew begins installing the premium IKO Dynasty heavy-weight shingles. David and Jim selected the sleek Granite Black color, ensuring both durability and a striking look for their home.
