Aerial View Before Replacement
This roof shows signs of wear and tear, most likely due to weather and age. Some shingles are growing moss, which indicates an accumulation of moisture combined with a lack of airflow. Moisture has also visibly stained the edges of the roof's valleys.
Removing The Old Shingles
Our crew makes quick work of removing the old shingles. Underneath the shingles is plywood, which will be inspected. Any plywood that shows signs of rot or desecration is removed and replaced.
Applying the Underlayment
The crew determined that the plywood on this roof was still in great shape and none of it needed to be replaced. They take steps to make sure the plywood continues to stay in great shape for years to come by taping up the seams with heavy-duty deck tape and applying an underlayment of Ice & Water shield.
Shingles Are Applied
After the underlayment is applied, the crew begins installing the shingles. They keep things neat and orderly by following a specific pattern.
Ridge Vent Installation
After installing the shingles, the crew installs a ridge vent. This allows heat and moisture to escape, ensuring that there is no moisture buildup within the roof or attic. After that, they will cover the ridge vent with hip and ridge shingles.
