The Old Roof
The visible shingle staining on this roof is likely due to algae growth. In addition, these shingles were worn down due to age. For these reasons, this home needed a new roof.
The Old Shingles are Removed
This photo shows what the roof looks like after all of the shingles have been removed. Our crew used long tarps attached to the roof to collect the shingle debris, and easily transport them off of the property. Now, weak or damaged wood decking will be removed from the roof in order to make sure this roof is as safe as possible.
Brand New Wood Decking
Our crew has removed all of the old wood decking from the roof. The brand new plywood is already being installed, and it will be sturdy and strong enough to support the rest of the new roof.
It is Starting to Come Together
This photo shows the final stages of the wood decking installation, and we can see the new roof coming together.
Protecting the Roof
The crew installed underlayment on this roof to keep it safe from water damage. Decking tape was used to seal the edgdes of the plywood sheets. Then, Ice and Water Shield was installed towards the bottom of the roof, and Velora One underlayment was applied on the middle and ridges of the roof.
The Completed Roof
IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black were used to create this incredible new roof. This homeowner can now be confidant that their roof is providing the best protection for their home.
