Worn Shingles, Algae, and Moss Growth
Worn out shingles, algae, and moss growth were reasons why this roof needed to be replaced. These issues were not only visually unappealing, but over time they may have caused even bigger problems. Weakened shingles leave the roof vulnerable to damages.
Removing the Old Shingles
This photo shows our crew hard at work, scraping the old shingles from the roof. Long tarps are attached the roof, which prevents the shingle debris from causing a big mess.
Decking Tape and Underlayment
Decking tape is used to seal the edges of the plywood on this roof. The white material towards the bottom of the roof is our Ice and Water Shield. The brown material being applied by a crew member is Velora One underlayment. These layers of protection will keep water from damaging the wood decking.
The New Shingles are Installed
Our crew installs the new IKO Dynasty shingles from the bottom of the roof up to the ridge. These new shingles are strong, and resistant to algae. These qualities will help prevent the issues that were visible on the original shingles, algae and wear.
