These Shingles Shouldn't be Here
This section of roofing is too flat to have shingles. Water won't slide off of this roof quick enough, and the shingles may be damaged because of it. From this picture we can also tell that moss is growing on this roof.
Finding Damage
While removing the old shingles from this roof, our crew found damage on the old wood decking. This is part of the roof replacement process. Our team looks for damaged wood that needs to be replaced in order to provide the safest roof possible.
Brand New Wood Decking
After removing all of the damaged wood on this roof, the crew installed new plywood. Since the wood decking is the base for the rest of the roof, making sure it is safe and sturdy is a crucial step.
Installing Polyglass Underlayment
This photo shows one of our crew members installing the base sheet for the new flat roof. This waterproof membrane will help keep this roof safe from water damages such as wood rot, leaks, and mold.
The Final Result
Our crew completed this job by installing a Polyglass Elastoflex Cap Sheet in the color Chestnut. This new roof will provide this home with high-quality protection. In addition, the color of this new flat roof is complementary to this roof's shingles.
