Challenge
The main issue that we were facing with this project is common when it comes to flat roofing. Water was settling on the roof and was not properly flowing to the drains.
Solution
To correct the issue of the flat roofing we knew that we had to change the pitch of the roof to encourage water to naturally flow off of it. To do this we put in a tapered roofing insulation system started at the lowest point near the drains. From the drain, we raised the roof 1 inch for every ft till we hit the back wall. In the end, the roof had a subtle pitch that was just enough to have water drain off of it!
