The Old Chimney
This chimney's crown had deteriorated due to erosion, and its mortar had also weakened. For these reasons, this chimney needed to be disassembled and re-built.
Demolition
This photo shows the three chimney flues once the surrounding bricks have been removed by our crew. All of these flues are visibly aged, and the center flue is broken. They will all be removed, and replaced with new flues.
New Flues and Bricks
In this photo one of our hard working crew members can be seen installing new bricks around three new flues that have already been installed. Not only do these new materials a provide an incredible visual upgrade, but they also have far greater quality than the old and damaged flues.
New Flashing
Here one of our crew members can be seen installing new lead step flashing onto the chimney. This will protect this home against leaks, and slow down erosion. Also featured in this photo, is a freshly poured chimney crown.
The Finished Chimney
This re-built chimney looks fantastic, and helps this home to achieve a neat and "put together" look. In addition to an elevated appearance, this chimney is also well prepared to face the elements.
