Fairfield, CT Commercial Roofing Replacement
Challenge
The roof on this Fairfield, CT funeral home had been replaced many times over its life, but it was never done properly. The original roof has cedar shake shingles that were replaced with asphalt shingles. But in order to save time and money, the contractor who installed the roof put the replacement shingles right over top of the cedar shake shingles. Many years, and many leaks later, they replaced the roof again, this time just putting plywood over the existing layers of roofing before reshingling. This caused serious leaking issues and many unnecessary repairs over the following years.
Solution

All three existing layers of the roof were ripped off, along with the underlying plywood. We installed a GAF Lifetime Roofing system in the color slate gray. The new roof comes with a 50-year warranty on material and labor, so they will never have to worry about their roof leaking again!
