Before: Mildew
A closer look at Bob's old siding shows signs of mildew growth, which can only get worse. Let's get this makeover started!
The Teardown
The crew got to work stripping the entire exterior of Bob's house down to its frame, making way for a full transformation. Since Bob wanted a complete overhaul, this included replacing all of the plywood sheathing - the foundation that supports the siding.
Stripped House
With the house stripped down to its bare bones, we are ready for action!
New Sheathing
The crew installs brand-new CDX plywood sheathing. Each sheet is precisely measured and secured into place, creating a strong and reliable foundation for the new siding.
Seams Taped
As an added measure of reinforcement, the seams of each plywood sheet are taped with heavy-duty all-weather deck tape.
Vapor Barrier
A thin vapor barrier is installed over the entire surface. This water-resistant membrane helps the new sheathing resist against moisture damage and harsh elements.
New Siding
The same process is repeated for Bob's shed. With the vapor barrier fully in place, it's time to start installing the new ProVia Willowbrook siding! This premium-quality vinyl siding comes in a variety of shades, and Bob has selected the sleek shade of Nautica for both his house and shed.
The House After
With the final pieces of siding in place and a thorough cleanup of the property, Bob's siding transformation is officially complete! His home now boasts a fresh, durable exterior that will stand strong for years to come.
