The House Before
Here's what Karen's house looked like before the renovation. This weathered wood siding needs to go! Click through to see the awesome transformation.

The Old Siding Comes Off
The crew kicks things off by carefully stripping the old siding off of the house walls. This reveals the layer of plywood underneath, which is called the sheathing.

The Sheathing Is Examined
The sheathing at this corner of the house had become significantly damaged by water over many years. These damaged pieces, along with any other spots found affected by decay or mold, are removed.

New Plywood Is Installed
Sturdy new CDX plywood is installed, perfectly cut to fit into each necessary spot, and securely nailed down.

Underlayment Is Installed
Underlayment - a thin, protective membrane - is applied across the entire surface of the sheathing, creating a barrier between the plywood foundation and the weather. On top of that, a layer of insulation is added, providing extra thermal protection and reinforcing the roof against the elements.

New Siding Goes On
Now, it's finally time to install Karen's brand-new siding! Brown Roofing proudly installs ProVia Willowbrook Super Polymer Vinyl Siding, a durable and stylish option that comes in a range of colors. For her home's fresh new look, Karen is going with a sleek Gray finish.

The House After
With the siding fully installed and a thorough clean-up complete, the renovation is complete! Karen's brand-new siding is ready to shine for years to come.
