The Old Roof
Here's a look at Hunter's house before the roof upgrade. Even from a distance, you can spot the discoloration showing signs of moisture damage in the shingles. Click through to check out the amazing transformation!

The Teardown Begins
The crew kicks things off by stripping off all of these old shingles. This reveals the layer of plywood underneath, which is called the sheathing. This is the structural foundation of the roof.

New Plywood Is Installed
As the structural foundation of the roof, the health of the sheathing is essential. Any damaged, rotted, or moldy sections are removed and replaced with brand-new, fresh 1/2" CDX plywood to ensure a solid base for the new roof.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Installed
The seams of each sheet of plywood in the sheathing are taped up with all-weather Sealoron XT deck tape. After that, underlayment is installed to act as an added shield against water, wind, snow, and ice.

New Shingles Are Installed
Now it's time to start installing the new shingles! To beautifully complement his home, Hunter has selected the sleek and sophisticated shade of Frostone Gray from our premium-laminated IKO Dynasty collection for his new roof.
