The Old Roof
Here's what Steven's roof looked like before the makeover. Click through to see the awesome transformation!

The Teardown
The crew kicks things off by stripping away the old shingles. To keep the homeowner's property fully protected, they lay down large tarps around the house and yard. This not only prevents debris from causing any damage but also makes cleanup a breeze!

The Sheathing
Underneath the old shingles is a layer of plywood called the roof sheathing. This is the structural foundation of the roof. Any areas found with damage, such as rot or mold, are removed and replaced with brand-new sturdy CDX plywood.

The Underlayment
All of the plywood sheets are taped at the seams with Sealoron XT deck tape. Then, underlayment is installed over the entire surface. This is a thin, waterproof material that protects the sheathing from rough elements like rain, wind, snow, or ice.

The New Shingles
Now it's time to install the new shingles! For his new roof, Steven has selected the beautiful shade of Summit Gray from the prestigious and premium-laminated IKO Dynasty collection.

The New Roof
A shingle vent and cap are installed along all of the ridges of the roof, and the chimney and roof pipes are secured with strong flashing. Now the new roof is complete!
