The Roof Before
Here's a look at Katherine's roof before the renovation. Click through to see the awesome transformation and the journey to get there!

Before: Leaking Roof
Katherine noticed unsightly spots on her ceiling, and her shingles had visible stains - clear signs that moisture had infiltrated her entire roofing system. Time to tackle this issue head-on!

The Teardown Begins
Since Katherine wanted a complete roof overhaul - not just new shingles, but an entirely fresh plywood foundation - the crew gets to work carefully removing the old plywood from the rafters and promptly disposing of it.

New Plywood Is Installed
With the roof fully stripped, the crew begins installing brand-new, sturdy CDX plywood. Each sheet is precisely cut, fitted, and securely nailed into place, ensuring a strong foundation for Katherine's new roof.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Installed
Each new sheet of plywood is numbered for easy tracking, allowing our crew to inform homeowners exactly how many were used. The seams are then sealed with all-weather Sealoron XT deck tape for added strength and durability. To complete this crucial step, a layer of underlayment is installed over the entire surface. This thin, water-resistant material acts as a protective barrier, shielding the plywood foundation from harsh elements like wind, rain, snow, and ice.

New Shingles Are Installed
Now it's finally time to start installing the brand-new IKO Dynasty shingles. These shingles are premium-laminated and known for their superior quality and stunning curb appeal. Katherine has selected the elegant Frostone Gray shade for her new roof.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
A vent is installed at the ridge of the roof. This vent ensures proper airflow by allowing hot, moist air rising inside of the house a way to escape, preventing damaging condensation buildup.

The Finished Product: Front
After a few finishing touches, like installing flashing around the chimney and pipe vents, as well as installing a ridge cap over the ridge vent, Katherine's new roof is complete!

The Finished Product: Back
Katherine's stained roof is now long gone - and replaced with sturdy, fresh new materials, built to last!
