The Roof Before
Here's a look at Connie's roof before the replacement. Click through to see the lovely transformation!

Before: Needles & Moss
In this close-up view, you can see debris accumulating behind the chimney. Combined with excess moisture, this has created the perfect environment for moss growth. Time to clear it out and install a new roof!

Old Shingles Are Removed
The crew starts things off by carefully stripping the old shingles off. This exposes the plywood layer underneath, which is called the roof decking. The roof decking is the structural core of the roof.

Bad Plywood Removed & Replaced
As the structural core of the roof, the decking's health is essential. Any parts of the decking found with damage, such as rot or mold, and removed and replaced with fresh, new CDX plywood.

Underlayment Is Installed
Once all the damaged sections of decking have been replaced, the crew applies a layer of underlayment across the entire surface. This thin, waterproof barrier provides extra protection against harsh elements like wind, rain, and snow.

New Shingles Are Installed
Now, it's time to install the IKO Dynasty architectural shingles! These premium-laminated shingles are built for both strength and style. Connie chose the sleek and ultra-popular Granite Black shade for her new roof.

The Roof After
With all the shingles in place and a few final touches - like installing a ridge vent and securing flashing around all pipes - Connie's new roof is officially complete and looking stunning!
