The Roof Before
Here's a look at Mario's roof from the front before the replacement. Click through to see the awesome transformation!

Before: Mossy Mess
Here's a close-up of the area where Mario was dealing with a leak. The flashing around the chimney is worn out, and moss growth is a clear sign of moisture buildup. It's time for a new roof! Let's get started!

Old Shingles Come Off
The crew starts by carefully removing the old shingles. To protect the property, heavy-duty tarps are laid out, ensuring no damage to the landscape or home during the process.

New Plywood for the Decking
Once the old shingles are removed, the crew carefully inspects the decking - the wooden foundation of the roof - for any damage such as rot or mold. Any compromised sections are replaced with fresh sheets of plywood, precisely fitted and securely nailed into place.

Underlayment Is Installed
Next, a layer of underlayment is applied across the entire decking. This thin, waterproof synthetic felt serves as a protective barrier against harsh elements like rain, snow, and ice.

New Shingles Go On
Next, it's time to start installing the new shingles! Brown Roofing stands by the premium quality of IKO Dynasty architectural shingles. Mario has selected the ultra-popular shade of Granite Black for his new roof.

Ridge Vent Is Installed
A ridge vent is installed at the peak of the roof. This vent promotes proper airflow by allowing hot, humid air from inside the house to escape, preventing condensation buildup and maintaining the roof's integrity.

Chimney Gets New Flashing
The old, leaking chimney flashing is replaced with new, high-quality lead flashing. This durable material creates a secure barrier, preventing water from seeping through vulnerable joints and ensuring the roof stays leak-free.

The Roof After
Mario's new roof is complete, and it's looking better than ever - strong, secure, and built to last!
