These old shingles needed to go, due to algae growth and age. Old shingles not only look outdated, but also do not match the quality of modern shingles.
Shingle Removal
The Brown Roofing team scraped off the layers of old shingles from this roof. Long tarps fixed to the end of the roof helped our crew to easily dispose of these shingles, and prevent a mess.
Ice and Water Shield
After all of the old shingles have been removed, our team replaced any damaged wood decking with new plywood. In order to protect the wood from water damage, Ice and Water Shield was applied over the roof. This protective underlayment will keep water at bay, preventing pesky problems like leaks, mold, and wood rot.
High-Quality Shingles
New IKO Dynasty shingles are installed by our crew, starting from the bottom and reaching up to the ridge. These shingles have built-in algae resistance, thanks to copper-coated granules that are imbedded into each shingle. This will prevent the same algae stains that were visible on this home's original roof.
A Reliable, and Attractive Result
The new roof is complete, and looks incredible. The new IKO Dynasty shingles that created this home's new look are in the color Glacier.
