The Old Shingles
In this close up photo it is easy to see that these old shingles need to be replaced. The shingles are lightly warped and lifting, and have some lichen growth. Because of these reasons, these shingles were not very reliable and had to be removed by our crew.
Installing New Wood Decking
This photo shows our crew members installing nw plywood onto this roof. After the shingles have been removed from the roof, our team searches for any damaged wood and replaces it with brand new wood decking. This process is a crucial step to any roof replacement, because the wood decking acts as the base for the rest of the roof.
Time to Install Underlayment
In this photo, our crew members can be seen installing our Ice and Water Shield, and decking tape. These protective measures will help prevent leaks and other forms of water damage by keeping water away from the wood decking.
Shingle Installation
Granite Black IKO Dynasty shingles were installed by our crew. They are installed from the bottom of the roof up to the ridge. These shingles are high-quality and will protect this home from the harsh elements.
