Brown Roofing Partners with Chaz & AJ at WPLR to "Raise the Roof for a Hero" Through Roofing for Humanity

[Seymour, CT] – February 18, 2025 – Brown Roofing is proud to announce its continued commitment to giving back through the Roofing for Humanity program. In partnership with Chaz & AJ at 99.1 WPLR, we are launching the fourth annual "Raise the Roof for a Hero" initiative, providing a brand-new roof to a deserving member of our community.

The program was inspired by Michael Goldberg, a dedicated Brown Roofing salesman who envisioned helping families in need by ensuring they had a safe, dry home. In 2021, Michael shared this vision with company owner Eddie Griffin, and Roofing for Humanity was born—offering one free roof per year to a deserving individual who has made a positive impact despite their own hardships. Tragically, Michael passed away later that year before seeing his vision come to life. However, Eddie and the entire Brown Roofing team have carried on his mission, completing three successful projects in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

As in previous years, Michael’s family plays a key role in reviewing nominations and selecting the recipient. The Roofing for Humanity event has become a powerful tribute to Michael’s legacy, reinforcing Eddie Griffin’s philosophy of "making giving back a part of our culture" at Brown Roofing.

Nominations for the 2025 Roofing for Humanity project open on February 18th! If you know a veteran, teacher, first responder, volunteer, or neighbor in Fairfield, Litchfield, or New Haven County who goes above and beyond for their community and is in need of a new roof, now is your chance to help them.
