The House Before
Here's what Ed's house looked like before the total makeover. Click through to see the stunning transformation!

Prepping the Property
Before the renovation begins, the crew lays down large tarps and plywood sheets to ensure there is no damage to the homeowner's property.

The Teardown Begins
The crew strips the old shingles off of the roof. This reveals the plywood layer underneath, which is called the roof sheathing. As the structural foundation of the roof, the sheathing must be in tip-top condition, and any parts found with damage, such as rot or mold, are removed.

New Plywood Is Installed
Our experts found that all of the sheathing needed to be replaced. After getting the go-ahead from Ed, the crew installs brand-new 1/2" CDX plywood for the new sheathing. Each sheet of plywood used is numbered for easy tracking, so that our crew can accurately report back to the homeowner about how many sheets were used.

Seams Taped & Underlayment Installed
With all of the new sheathing nailed into place, the seams of each sheet are taped with all-weather deck tape as an extra measure of reinforcement. Next, a layer of underlayment is installed over the entire surface. This thin, waterproof material protects the sheathing from harsh elements like rain, wind, snow, or ice.

New Shingles Are Installed
Next, it's time for the new IKO Dynasty shingles to be installed! These premium quality architectural shingles come in a variety of colors, and Ed has selected the popular Granite Black for his new roof.

Trim Coil Installed
With the roof finished, it's time to start installing the new siding. After removing the old siding, the crew installs trim coil over all exterior walls. This thin aluminum layer helps seal out moisture and enhances aesthetic appeal.

Insulation Is On
Next, a layer of insulation is installed over the trim coil. This ensures proper thermal protection, as well as acting as yet another barrier against moisture.

New Siding Is Installed
Now it's time to install the gorgeous ProVia Cedar Peaks vinyl siding. Ed has selected the color of Neptune, giving his house a sleek, modern look.

The House After
After a few final touches and a thorough cleanup of the property, Ed's house makeover is complete! This house now boasts durability and curb appeal.
