Leak in the Attic
Over time, moisture buildup can lead to dark stains, rot, and eventually leaks, as seen here in John's attic. Let's get to fixing that!

Protecting the Property
Before starting the roof renovation, our crew takes careful precautions by setting up heavy-duty tarps and plywood sheets over windows. These protective measures ensure the homeowner's property and landscape remain safe throughout the process.

The Teardown
The crew strips away the old shingles, revealing the roof decking beneath. Any damaged sections - like the ones seen in the first photo - are carefully removed and replaced with fresh, sturdy CDX plywood to ensure a solid foundation for the new roof.

Seams Are Taped & Underlayment Is Installed
Once all necessary decking replacements are complete, the crew reinforces the structure by sealing the seams of each plywood sheet with heavy-duty all-weather deck tape. Next, they apply a protective layer of underlayment across the entire surface, shielding it from harsh elements like rain, wind, and snow.

New Shingles Are Installed
With the underlayment fully applied, it's time to start installing the new shingles! Brown Roofing proudly uses superior-quality IKO Dynasty shingles for all of our roofs backed by a 50-year warranty. Available in a variety of colors, John has chosen the very popular Granite Black shade for his new roof.

The Finished Look
The crew completes the installation of the shingles, adds a ridge vent along the ridges for optimal ventilation, secures the pipes and chimney with proper flashing, and the roof is officially finished!
