Before: Front View
The old roof's worn state was evident from afar, with streaked, stained shingles bearing the marks of water damage, algae growth, and the natural fading of standard-quality materials over time.

Old Shingles Are Removed
The crew starts removing the old roof by carefully stripping away the shingles. Heavy-duty tarps are positioned beforehand to safeguard the property from debris and potential damage.

Bad Plywood Is Removed & Replaced
After the old shingles are removed, our expert installers carefully inspect the roof's plywood foundation for any evidence of rot or mold. Affected wood boards are promptly removed and replaced.

Seams Reinforced & Underlayment Laid
Once all necessary plywood is replaced, each seam is reinforced with heavy-duty deck tape. Next, a water-resistant synthetic felt underlayment is applied, creating a protective barrier against rain, snow, and ice.

New Shingles Are Installed
With the underlayment fully installed, it's time to lay the new shingles. We use Brown Roofing's signature choice, premium IKO Dynasty shingles. For his roof, James selected the elegant Castle Gray color.

Ridge Vent Installed
A ridge vent is installed along the roof's peak, allowing rising heat and moisture to escape and preventing condensation buildup. Single hip-and-ridge shingles are installed over top of the ridge vent for a seamless look.
