The Old Shingles
These shingles have a significant amount of lichen growth. Lichen growth is visually unappealing, and may even damage the shingles. Lichens have roots that can break and warp shingles, leaving the roof unprotected.
Removing the Old Shingles
Our crew used long tarps attached to the roof to slide the shingles off of the roof, and collect the debris. This technique helps to prevent a mess on the property.
Installing New Wood Decking
On the left side of this photo, our crew members are installing new plywood to the roof. On the right side, new underlayment has been installed. This will protect the wood decking underneath from water damage.
New IKO Dynasty Shingles
Our crew installed new IKO Dynasty shingles from the bottom of this roof, up to the ridge. The shingles are overlapped in order to keep water out. The customer chose the shingle color Granite Black.
Amazing New Roof
The Brown Roofing team has completed another high-quality roof system. This new roof is sure to keep this home protected from the elements.
