Worn Down Shingles
Low-quality or worn down shingles pose a threat to the safety of your roof. This roof had weathered shingles, and because of this they were not able to adequately protect this home. Weak or unreliable shingles leave the roof vulnerable to damages. This is a reason why this roof needed to be replaced.
Removing the Old Shingles
The crew started their work by removing the old shingles from this roof. This can be a messy process, especially when the shingles are brittle and crumbly. However, we prevent a big mess by using long tarps to collect and easily transport debris.
Checking for Damge
Once all of the old shingles have been removed from the roof, our crew inspects the roof and finds any damage. if any holes, leaks, wood rot, or other damages are found on the wood decking, new plywood is used to replace the old wood. This process helps ensure a safe and study start to this new roof.
Underlayment and Shingles Protect the Roof
Our crew applied Ice and Water Shield underlayment to the roof to protect the wood decking from water damage. This extra layer of protection will help keep the roof leak free. Lastly, the shingles are installed. The shingles act as the first level of defense against rain, snow, ice, and debris. IKO Dynasty shingles will keep this home well protected.
A Beautiful Result for the Customer
The new roof looks incredible! Our customer chose the color Glacier for their new IKO Dynasty shingles. Ridge vents were installed on this home to prevent condensation and mold in the attic.
