The Old Stained Roof
In addition to having an active leak, this roof had worn out shingles and shingle staining. In order to begin this job, our crew had to remove all of the old shingles.
Getting Started
This photo shows our hard working crew members scraping the shingles off of this roof. They used long tarps attache to the home to catch the debris, and keep this property clean.
Removing the Leak
Once the roof is shingle free, our crew find the water damaged wood causing the leak and removes it. Any other damaged wood decking is also removed, and it is replaced with brand new plywood. This process helps ensure a safe and reliable roof.
Decking Tape and Ice and Water Shield
Our crew has installed decking tape on all of the joints of the wood decking. This tape seals the wood deking and prevents water from seeping in through the cracks in-between the plywood sheets. The white material on this roof is our Ice and Water Shield, which will keep this wood safe from water damage and future leaks.
Wonderful Result
Lastly, our crew members installed new IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Summit Gray. The Brown Roofing team took good care of this home, which is looking better than ever!
