Photo Album: Spectacular Roof Replacement in Prospect, Connecticut

This roof in Prospect wasn't looking its best, due to moss and lichen growth. In addition to an unappealing look, moss and lichen grown can lead to warped or broken shingles, which leave a house unprotected. For this reason, a roof replacement was necessary. The Brown Roofing team installed a new roof, and transformed this home.

Moss and Lichen

These shingles were completely covered in moss and lichen. This could have caused shingles to warp and break over time. This mossy roof certainly captured attention for the wrong reason.

Shingle Removal

This photo shows the beginning of this roof transformation. Our crew is scraping off all of the old, moss covered shingles.

Revealing the Wood Decking

Once all of the shingles have been removed, the wood decking is exposed. This is when our team looks for any damaged wood, and removes it.

Underlayment is Installed

In order to protect the wood from water damage, our crew installs underlayment. Our Ice and Water Shield and Velora One Underlayment will keep this roof safe, dry, and leak free!

IKO Dynasty Shingles

This photo shows our incredible crew members installing brand new IKO Dynasty shingles. These shingles have build in algae resistance, which will keep this home looking great!
