Stained and Missing Shingles
This close up photo really shows just how old this roof is. Multiple stains, faded color, and missing shingles are all visible here. All of these shingles were removed by our crew.
The Old Wood Decking
Now that all of the shingles have been removed, the wood decking underneath is revealed. Because this roof is over 50 years old, there was no telling what kind of damage the crew would find here. All damaged wood will be replaced with new plywood.
All New Wood Decking
The new and sturdy plywood installed by our crew is surely a welcome change for this homeowner, whose home was originally protected by wood that was over 50 years old.
Decking Tape and Underlayment
The Brown Roofing crew applied decking tape along the boarders of the new plywood. This seals the edges of the wood, further protecting the home. The white material being applied to the roof is our Ice and Water Shield. More underlayment will be installed all over the roof, keeping water away from the new wood.
The Amazing Transformation is Complete
All of the Brown Roofing team's hard work has payed off in a stunning result! IKO Dynasty Shingles in the color Granite Black have been installed, and they have instantly modernized this home's look. A ridge vent has also been installed in order to properly ventilate the attic, preventing condensation and mold.
