Stained Shingles
The stained shingles on this home were drawing attention to this old roof. The Brown Roofing team got right to work scraping all of these shingles off of the roof, making way for new high-quality shingles to be allowed
The Old Wood Decking
The above photo shows what this roof look looks like after the first step of a roof replacement, removing the shingles. The dark wood is the old wood decking, some of which will need to be replaced due to damages such as leaks, holes, or wood rot. Our crew members can be seen bringing bright new sheets of plywood onto the roof. This is the material that will be replacing the old wood decking.
Off to a Great Start
The new roof is starting to come together. New plywood has been installed, and underlayment is being applied to the roofing section which will soon have shingles installed. The flat roof installation is also underway.
Completed Underlayment
Our crew has taped down all of the plywood edges with decking tape, and applied underlayment all over this section of the roof. The white material at the bottom of the roof is our Ice and Water Shield, which will prevent water damage to the new wood decking. Once the crew has finished installing the layers of underlayment, the roof is ready for shingle installation.
An Incredible New Roof
The Brown Roofing crew has installed all new IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black. The flat roofing sections have been completed, and their color matches very well to the new shingles. Despite having two types of roofing, this home's new roof has a neat and cohesive look.
