Lichen and Moss had Covered This Roof
The worn shingles on this roof were covered in lichen and moss. This problem may have lead to further shingle damage, if not resolved by the Brown Roofing team. Our crew scrapped all of the old shingles from the roof, making way for new shingles to be installed.
Removing Shingles and Revealing the Wood Decking
In this photo, our crew members can be seen removing the old shingles from this roof. Underneath the shingles is an aged layer of plywood. The team will examine the wood decking and replace any damaged wood with brand new plywood.
Ensuring a Safe Roof
After the crew had removed the old wood decking from the roof, they discovered a beam that needed to be replaced. Our team made sure that this new roof would start off on the right foot with safe wood decking.
The Roof is Covered in Underlayment
Once the new wood decking is installed, it is time to install the underlayment. This layer of protection will help keep rain, ice, and snow from damaging the wood underneath.
Beautiful new IKO Dynasty Shingles
Our crew used IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Brownstone to complete this roof transformation. These shingles look fantastic, and will provide high-quality protection for this home. A ridge vent has also been installed, and topped with shingles. Another job well done, by the Brown Roofing team!
