Stained Shingles
It was time for a new roof for this customer in Woodbury. This old roof has shingle staining, and noticable discoloration. The Brown Roofing crew began this job by removing all of the old shingles from the roof.
Revealing the Wood Decking
Here is what the roof looks like while our crew is removing the final shingles from the roof. The wood decking is exposed, and the team will look for any hole, wood rot, or leaks. The damaged plywood will be replaced, and decking tape will be applied to the edges of each sheet of plywood. This will prevent water from seeping in through the cracks.
Removing Damaged Wood Decking
In this photo one of our crew members can be seen removing the existing wood decking from the roof. Later, new plywood is installed, ensuring that this roof is damage free before the new shingles are applied.
Ice and Water Shield
This photo shows the new wood decking with decking tape. The crew is beginning to install new underlayment to protect the wood. The white underlayment is our Ice and Water Shield. This provides an extra layer of protection against water damage.
IKO Dynasty Shingles are Installed
The crew is finishing up this job by installing new shingles. IKO Dynasty shingles in the color Granite Black are applied from the bottom of this roof to the top. Overlapping the shingles prevents water from reaching the wood decking, and causing leaks, wood rot, or other water damage.
Another Fantastic Result
This roof has been completely transformed by the Brown Roofing team, and IKO Dynasty shingles. This roof replacement has increased this home's safety and visual appeal. The amazing new roof will help keep this home and it's occupants safe and dry!
